Miss Bugs is an artist working in London who frequently references and appropriates styles from iconic artists such as Picasso, Damien Hirst and Jeff Koons. Deliberately maintaining a low profile, this is an artist whose graphic, colourful and ambitious works do the talking. Adopting collage techniques and incorporating found objects, such as toy cars, in the work, the production process is laborious, costly and complex.
The work questions the very nature of the art establishment. It creates a dialogue about the ownership of ideas, working methods, and the relationship and impact that artists have with one another.
Miss Bugs has exhibited in New York, LA and London and continues to push the boundaries of material, process and imagery that is beautiful and arresting.
